They were given a list of mixtures to try. One of the mixtures was the mystery mixture.
Tomorrow, we will discuss what the possible mixture could be for the mystery mixture and do some large scale reactions to see if we can conclude what the mystery mixture is made of.

Mystery Mixture
We are beginning a lab on a Mystery Mixture.
The students observed the Mystery Mixture dry and with water.
After observing the Mystery Mixture, students had to look at 9 different substances and make a list of 5 possibilities that it could be.

The students worked on a measurement webquest in class today. If it wasn't completed, they needed to do as homework. They will have 15 minutes in class tomorrow to finish if they are having issues with any of the sites.

Lab Equipment - Volume
Today, we are continuing our look at lab equipment. We looked at beakers, flasks, pipettes, graduated cylinders, and test tubes. We practiced measuring water in each type of equipment. We ended with an exit ticket to determine who was actually understanding the equipment.
